For over twenty years, Dr. Lynn Jeffers has helped patients in Ventura County. She understands that choosing a plastic surgeon is a very personal decision. She believes strongly in the importance of trust, integrity and respect in the physician-patient relationship. She truly her patients and takes the time to answer your questions and to get to know you and your concerns. She will help you to understand your options and guide you in your expectations.
Dr. Jeffers was accepted into the University of Michigan Medical School out of high school after being named a White House Presidential Scholar. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Michigan with Highest Honors and High Distinction in Biomedical Sciences, while serving also as an Advisor and Commissioner Liaison to the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars. She also completed her Medical Degree at the University of Michigan with Distinction in Research, earning the American Federation for Clinical Research Medical Student Award and the American Medical Association Glaxo Achievement Award. She trained in the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Michigan. During her final year, she served as the Administrative Chief Resident and was awarded the Micrins Microsurgical Instrument Award for Outstanding Clinical Research. She returned to University of Michigan years later to obtain an MBA from the Ross School of Business in 2019, graduating with high distinction.
Dr. Jeffers is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. The Board certifies physicians who have completed a specific residency in the specialty of plastic surgery and have passed the certifying written and oral exmination in plastic surgery. The process involves the evaluation of the surgeon's knowledge, clinical practice, decision-making, and ethics.
She has been an invited speaker at local, regional, national, and international meetings, and has been cited in the media, on podcasts, in webinars and various online channels. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and has previously taught resident-in-training and medical students.
She has earned the respect of her peers and served in a number of leadership roles at the local, state, and national level including as President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the largest plastic surgery organization in the world and as Chair of the American Medical Association's Council on Medical Service. During the pandemic, she also led the response at both St. John's Regional Medical Center and St. John's Hospital Camarillo. And early in her career she and a number of key physicians spearheaded the Integrated Breast Center at St. John's that has since been nationally accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
