After graduating with a degree in economics from Brown University, she worked at a New York City-based healthcare management consulting firm. She continued her education at New York University School of Medicine. During medical school, she was drawn to surgery and started her general surgery residency at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. After her acceptance to the STAR program (Specialty Training and Advanced Research), funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), she completed both a general surgery residency and PhD in molecular and cellular biology at UCLA. After moving back to New York, she started her plastic surgery training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. Her practice includes both reconstructive and aesthetic breast, body and facial procedures including community-based microsurgical reconstruction.

She has hosted several episodes of the ASPS University Enhance Your Practice Podcast series, focusing on topics such as Investing, Finance, Private Equity and Legal Issues. Her interest in advocacy propelled her to serve as President-Elect of the New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons (NYSSPS).

After starting and managing her own practice for the past 15 years, she wants to provide insights to help others succeed and avoid mistakes. She hopes to provide practical information for any trainee whether they pursue a private practice, employed model or academic position.

In her free time, she enjoys skiing, travelling and spending time with her husband, three children and pet dog Peter.
